A Padawan is a term used in the Star Wars universe to refer to a young Jedi apprentice who is being trained in the ways of the Force by a more experienced Jedi Knight or Jedi Master. Rey's backstory as a former Padawan of Luke could add depth to her character and provide a compelling connection to the original trilogy. It would also explain her strong connection to the Force and her natural ability with a lightsaber. However, it's also important for Rey to have her own unique journey and identity separate from the Skywalker lineage. Ultimately, the decision should be based on what serves the story and character development best in the context of the overall Star Wars narrative. **
